The Northern Illinois Food Bank and Food Donation Connection records indicate that The Family Outreach Program alone distributed more than 981,584 pounds of food in 2022. The need is greater than ever and every week families call in for help who never have had to rely on a food pantry before.  Weekly we hand out about 200 + boxes (50 + pounds of groceries) to families, seniors, and unemployed persons.  We invite you to call to join us in helping our neighbors.

Thursday Family Outreach Program Food Pantry has a distribution to the qualified public between 7:00 AM to 9:00 Am Thursday mornings. Cars line up in the northwestern side of the parking lot behind Hillcrest Shopping Center at the corner of Weber and Plainfield Road in Crest Hill, Illinois. 200 families are served between theses two hours through our mobile unit. Clients of the food pantry must be elibible residentially and signing that they are below the poverty line as shown on signature pages provided by the Department of Human Services. Call beforehand to verify.
All WeekVolunteers and community service persons engage in a variety of activities including food pick-ups, answering hot line, fund raising, and necessary pantry maintenance. Call (815) 730-9567 to get onboard!
Family Outreach Program has for the past Year also coordinated with the following non profit agencies to assist families in need.
  1. Ceda Southwest Development Associates
    Assistance with bedding and furniture for needy clients
  2. Will Country Crisis Line
    Donations of emergency food product  to distressed persons calling the Crises hotline
  3. Daybreak (Homeless Shelter and rehabilitation)
    Donations of food and assistance with the needs of homeless clients.
  4. Stepping Stones (Drug rehabilitation center)
    Donations of food.
  5. DesPlaines Valley Public Library Donations of books, inspirational material, refreshments for events, bean bags and seating for  children.
